July, summed up the whole month

Our family packed up in our "new" to us Saturn Vue, including Rufus. We left fairly early Thursday morning and arrived in Indianapolis by 4pm. We spend a lovely short visit with my parents, including a trip to the Childrens Museum on Friday. Saturday my dad's cousins were having a family reunion in Lafayette so we hung out there before going up to LaGrange. We even had time to stop and visit a craft brewery in Lafayette, and then a brief stop at campus. Gramma and Granpa pulled out the Giraffe Kiddie Pool and both CJ and Rufus loved 'swimming' and splashing around. Of course we spent the 4th at the Strzyz Manor and enjoyed a fantastic display of fireworks, I had to hold Colin the whole time. This year he decided he was unsure about fireworks. He sat quietly in my lap, and then finally fell asleep. Eric golfed with his buddies, we hung out with the Strzyz kids, we also spent a lot of time with Aunt Anna. We finally made it to Cooper's Hawk for dinner. Deanna and Maxwell came for lunch one afternoon and they also threw a Cookout for everyone. It was so fun getting to see the baby and holding a lightweight infant. Colin dug into his first ear of corn at their party, that is one of my memorable proud moments. At the end of our stay in the Chicagoland Area we caught a White Sox ball game concluding with fireworks! Saturday CJ and I packed ourselves up and drove North to visit the Kennedys. We arrived and immediately went in the pool! It was so fun. Sunday we spent time hanging out and playing around the house. During our stay Matt made pizza for us and we enjoyed some special esspresso cupcakes Angie saved for me. While visiting 'Aunt' Angie and 'Cousin' Steve in Racine, WI we took a day trip to the Milwaukee Zoo and the boys rode the train which was the highlight of the visit. On our way home from the zoo we stopped for Kopp's Frozen Custard. The next morning the boys played together and it seemed more natural for them to share. We had lunch together and said our goodbyes. We had so much fun and miss them so very much. Hopefully we can make it back next year.
Colin and I drove down to LaGrange and picked up Rufus and Gramma Meyer, she accompanied us to Indianapolis. We stayed over the night and hung out with the Chase side of the family. The Meyer Mobile hit the road and we got home in one day. :) Gramma Meyer hung out with us and intended on leaving on Friday but changed her plans to spend more time with CJ and help me out while Eric went camping and tubing. Colin had been away from home so long he was in desperate need of sleeping in his own bed. I can't blame him, I get like that too! Saturday we went to Fredericksburg to sight see and took the tour and ate lunch at the Blue and Gray Brewing Co. On Sunday we had a great meal at Uncle Julio's and took her to the airport. We hung out the next week and got ready for our next journey.

Colin and I ventured back to Indianapolis to celebrate Erin's 30th birthday. Colin spent the weekend with Grandpa Chase and the ladies went to Jonesville, MI to spend the weekend at a bed and breakfast at the Munro House. We had a lovely time hanging out, getting spa services, and eating till we were stuffed. I think this is the part of my summer vacation where I gained some extra lbs.
