New Haircut and a Family Photo Session

Here are the photos from Colin's first haircut! He did a great job, wasn't fussy, didn't squirm too much, and never cried. The ladies at the shop gave him a certificate and taped some of his cut hair to it. Eric thought this was all really exciting-not!

After we dropped Colin off at Heather's house we drove into the city for ShamRock Fest!
We were able to rock out to DJ Pauly D from the Jersey Shore show and he had Alexander Ovechkin on stage, but he was shy so he stayed off to the side a lot. We also heard Dr. Fu wo did covers of 80's Ballads and HairBands! They were great! We expected to see Crowded Streets, a DMB cover band, but to our surprise they weren't even there so we watched/listened to DJ Pauly D again! A whole lot of fist pumping!

Sunday morning we all got ready for our close ups! We went to Portrait Innovations and Colin was a little timid and clingy when we first got there, and then he warmed up and was all smiles. We got some great shots of Colin. I was a little disappointed in the lack of flash power, next time we pose as a family I will not be behind Eric's shadow. :) Check out the slide show.
Results from our Photo Shoot!

Ending with some pics from this morning in his Lucky Charm shirt in honor of his Irish Heritage!

A trip to CO and some skiing

The Meyer family took a trip to Steamboat, CO for some skiing with Anna Marie, Pete, and Derek. We has a difficult time getting there, our flight from Denver to Hayden/Steamboat was canceled but we weren't told about that so we could make other arrangements until 3pm. Frontier Airlines is now on our dislike list, our flight was supposed to leave at 12:00pm and they kept us guessing about whether or not we were leaving until 3pm. By then the 3 o'clock bus was gone, the 6 o'clock bus was filled by the passengers from our flight, and we were left with "the two last seats" on the 9 o'clock bus. Being unprepared to stay the whole day in the airport we made due. Colin had a lot of fun pushing the luggage around. It was a long day waiting around. The bus ride on Go Alpine took us 3.5 hours to get to Steamboat, a whole 12 hours after we had planned on getting in. Finally we got CJ to bed around 2am, but the "morning" we planned to go skiing so we were up and at em around 8am. CJ went to daycare, and Eric and I hit the slopes. We met up with the crew later. I had a lot of fun and it was great skiing on the champagne powder in Steamboat. The next day CJ and I started the day with sledding down the hill next to our townhouse. After lunch we went into town and did some window shopping. The weather was great, and the crew had a blast skiing the more difficult slopes together. We ended out trip with some margaritas at Rio's in town. Spicy food, but great drinks! The next morning we headed out of town and all our flights went as planned. There were moments where it seemed that things would never go right, but looking back on the trip we have positive memories. Eric and I make a great team when dealing with obstacles, and Colin's demanding needs that seem to creep up on us.
