Turning 3 Months Old:

This month Emilie has found her voice.  She turns on the charm when she finally decides to talk, smiles and all!  She prefers to be held so she can see everything that is going on.  She is a trooper and hangs out with us where ever we go, hoping she is as adaptable as CJ was!  When strangers take a peek at this little lady they all ask how old she is, bc she is a bit chunky.  It puts my mind at ease seeing her chunky thighs and rolls on her arms because I know she is thriving and getting plenty to eat so when she might miss a meal or not be as hungry as normal I don't fret.  Definitely wearing size 3-6 mo and 6 mo clothing.  Bigger than her brother at this age.  She has some seriously chunky thighs!  She is still sleeping 9 hours during the night.  She wakes at 7, I usually get her up.  She loves sleeping as much as her Daddy, she is NOT a morning person.  She takes naps after her "breakfast" and right before bed time.  When she is put in her little "jungle gym" she works her legs and reaches for her rattles.  Always has a serious face, trying to figure everything out.  I am suspicious of her smiles, because there is usually a surprise that arrives shortly there after.  (puke or poop, coin toss)
I really didn't think I would be a good mom to a little girl but I fall more deeply in love with her everyday.  I am so excited to get to know her and who she will become.

Just some perspective here is a side by side of CJ and Emilie at 3 Months:

May...Mother's Day

Still going strong with Tee Ball, CJ seems to enjoy it so we keep going.  His batting is improving, his team needs to work on their fielding skills.

Mother's Day-Sunday May 11th
Eric bought a lovely arrangement of tulips and we all went to Flag Ponds Beach.  It was a little dicey at first when we arrived, Emilie started to fuss and cry.  I thought she was hungry and wasn't getting enough to eat but in reality she just wanted to be put down for a nap and left alone. She slept for 2 hours.  This little lady LOVES her sleep and she doesn't need any one to hold her, rock her, or cuddle her to sleep.  There are times where I am sad that she doesn't want/need her Mommy to rock her to sleep but then it is nice Eric and I have some time together in the evenings after she goes to sleep.
After she woke from her nap on the beach I took her to the water and dipped her tiny piggies in the water.  She was quiet and then erupted in a distressed cry because it was too cold!  Her big brother reacted the same way when he first went to the beach.  We had a great time together.  CJ got a lot of Mommy and Daddy time on the beach playing beach ball and looking for shark teeth.  On our way home we stopped for a sweet treat before dinner, YUMMY!  First of the season, I had root beer float with the root beer ice and vanilla custard.  Eric then made dinner for us, shrimp with burgers and sweet potato fries.
