A trip to CO and some skiing

The Meyer family took a trip to Steamboat, CO for some skiing with Anna Marie, Pete, and Derek. We has a difficult time getting there, our flight from Denver to Hayden/Steamboat was canceled but we weren't told about that so we could make other arrangements until 3pm. Frontier Airlines is now on our dislike list, our flight was supposed to leave at 12:00pm and they kept us guessing about whether or not we were leaving until 3pm. By then the 3 o'clock bus was gone, the 6 o'clock bus was filled by the passengers from our flight, and we were left with "the two last seats" on the 9 o'clock bus. Being unprepared to stay the whole day in the airport we made due. Colin had a lot of fun pushing the luggage around. It was a long day waiting around. The bus ride on Go Alpine took us 3.5 hours to get to Steamboat, a whole 12 hours after we had planned on getting in. Finally we got CJ to bed around 2am, but the "morning" we planned to go skiing so we were up and at em around 8am. CJ went to daycare, and Eric and I hit the slopes. We met up with the crew later. I had a lot of fun and it was great skiing on the champagne powder in Steamboat. The next day CJ and I started the day with sledding down the hill next to our townhouse. After lunch we went into town and did some window shopping. The weather was great, and the crew had a blast skiing the more difficult slopes together. We ended out trip with some margaritas at Rio's in town. Spicy food, but great drinks! The next morning we headed out of town and all our flights went as planned. There were moments where it seemed that things would never go right, but looking back on the trip we have positive memories. Eric and I make a great team when dealing with obstacles, and Colin's demanding needs that seem to creep up on us.
